19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent the Russian player secured his first trophy for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually separating with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks his initial championship since the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt since spring of 2023.
Victory also means the Russian has won 21 victories at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a title is really nice," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in the German tournament in the past months.
His defensive play style and recurring outbursts on court had prompted some to question if his skill to compete at the highest level was finished.
Yet the player has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and play positively, backed up by an improved service.
He fought back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning 4 of the final five points to go ahead.
Both players exchanged break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial ATP Tour victory, took control to create a third set.
The opponent saved 4 early break points in a tight third set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned the title with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
